Down at one of our favourite data centres – Guys’ and St. Thomas’ hospital which is right on the River Thames.
We build the data centre a few years ago in their underground garage area. Given the location of the hospital and more specifically the location of the data centre, the build had to be secure from outside threats and water damage, the modular approach provided security in both aspects.

We return regularly for maintenance calls and to discuss expansion plans. Our most recent visit was for the creation of a UPS room. Due to expansion plans, the UPS was moved out of the main data centre into a separate UPS room with airon N+1 and fire suppression.

The new room provides a more energy efficient solution for the hospital and is build to F60 fire rating.

Coincidentally, the fire brigade was doing the rounds that day – thankfully nothing to do with the UPS room or data centre!fire-brigade
