All in a week’s work

This week saw more of the finishing touches going into the brand new data centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. We are hoping to officially hand over this facility to the client in the next week or two.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, project manager Wil is dressing up for work! You guessed it, our latest project belongs to a food provider, it is all top secret so we can’t mention who…… Wil is underDSC_0181

As we near completion at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, the finishing touches to drainage, walkways and the building’s exterior are made. At the same time, the Secure I.T. Environment’s team were hosting a training day for all staff on the electrical install and the general running of the data centre including PDU training not to mention the  lesson in shoe accessories and ‘what to wear in your data centre’.

It was a very productive day and the QE team are pleased with the new facility, which has been completed on time and within budget.

In the event of a fire….

We don’t just design and build full data centres – we also manage upgrades, refurbishment projects and all elements of data centre maintenance for clients. This week we have installed a 28 Bottle Inergen system for one of our existing clients in Oxfordshire together with a UPS system. Two relatively small additions to the data centre that mean our client is extra-prepared should there be a power outage or fire hazzard in or around their Data Centre. IMG_0881
