Overview

Raised Access Flooring

Secure I.T. Environments Ltd is a leading provider of raised access flooring to the data centre, commercial and retail sectors in the United Kingdom and Europe. We have a team of experienced in-house data centre designers who will design floor layouts to accommodate any given footprint.

Secure I.T. Environments Ltd. also upgrades old existing carpet medium density raised floor systems to a new reinforced, high density raised floor vinyl tile system without any downtime for your data centre.

What Are The Benefits of Raised Access Flooring?

Data centre environments must accommodate many data cables, handle high temperatures and be adaptable to any future technological and cooling requirements. A raised access floor helps address all of these demands whilst remaining cost effective.

How It Works

A traditional heavy duty 600 x 600mm raised access floor panel is the most commonly used system within a data centre and is available in several formats including bare chipboard panels, fully encapsulated chipboard panels, sheet vinyl, and loose lay vinyl making our product the ultimate in flexibility.

The panel is a sandwich construction with a high grade 38mm chipboard core with steel and bottom sheets. This is then overlaid with a steel grey vinyl or other client approved colour. This is all edged with a full depth ABS band creating a fully encapsulated floor panel.

Certification

Panel have been fully tested by a NAMAS accredited laboratory to the MOB PSA PF2 PS/SPU March 1992 Heavy Grade specification and is certified as being fully compliant. All PSA panels have three times working load safety factor, class ‘0’ spread of flame resistance and a 25-year guarantee.

Manufacture

All panels are manufactured in the UK, meaning we can offer offer total flexibility whilst maintaining the highest possible quality standard, alongside a rapid and reliable service.

Materials used are sourced from high-quality suppliers and use renewable, sustainable sources and suppliers wherever possible. We can also offer a bespoke service and specialise in replicating and reproducing existing raised floors.

Case study

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Data Centre

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is an established 488 bed general hospital, which together with 12 cots in a recently refurbished Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides healthcare services to West and North Norfolk in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. Following a tender process Secure I.T. was awarded the contract to design and build a new primary ‘energy efficient’ external modular data centre within the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
